The company was founded in 1996 in Boston, Massachusetts. Renowned drummer, educator and Thelonious Monk Institute founder T.S. Monk and Grammy Award winning banjoist Alison Brown were among the first artists to become clients. Through the years, Ed Keane Associates has worked with some of music’s most gifted artists in the genres of jazz, classical, and world music. The company currently works with Take 6, The Manhattan Transfer, Nnenna Freelon, Shana Tucker, T.S. Monk, and many other artists.

Ed Keane Associates has launched touring productions including THE SUMMIT: The Manhattan Transfer Meets Take 6, and GEORGIA ON MY MIND: Celebrating the Music of Ray Charles. CELTIC SPELLS with Mairead Nesbitt, co-founder of Celtic Woman and world-renowned Celtic Violinist, will be available for touring in 2021. 

Past projects include Century Americana, and Dreaming the Duke in association with The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.

The company has grown to offer talent booking, production, and music publishing services and is formed into two parts: the Management Division, and the Booking Division. In addition, the company provides consulting services to domestic and international corporate and educational institutions.
